In today’s digital world, one way to retain loyal customers is by creating content. Social channels provide diverse opportunities to connect with your target audience and offer them interesting products. That’s why content marketing is a quite successful means of raising brand awareness.
If you want to expand your knowledge in digital marketing and content direction, this blog is for you. Nina Gvaramadze, our graduate, will tell you what skills and experience she gained within the content marketing course.
Nina has been very close to art since childhood. She loved dancing, drawing, writing, and photography, but it always remained at the hobby level. She didn’t know then that she could combine all of this into one profession and use it. Based on her areas of interest, Nina saw herself in the marketing field, especially in social media/content direction. That’s why she decided to study content marketing, for which she chose Commschool. As Commschool’s junior marketer, she also wanted to have the experience of going through this program to look at the course process from a student’s perspective.
“After I joined the marketing team at work, I decided to deepen my knowledge in social media direction. I knew that after each lesson, the lecturer would help me a lot with the feedback and advice shared on the completed assignment.”
Content Marketing – What does the course include?
Nina’s expectations were fully met. The lectures were quite consistently arranged. The most important part turned out to be the practical part of the course. After each lecture, students completed assignments where material preparation and creative thinking were needed for all social media. According to Nina, the completed exercises helped her a lot in her professional activities. Instagram turned out to be the most interesting, where she had to present the same content in different forms.
“I had to work with social media before, but there were concepts and details that I saw completely differently after taking the course.”
The content marketing course covers diverse topics. Within the program, you have the opportunity to learn how to plan and execute a content campaign independently. Also, how to break it down into different media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.). You will acquire all the necessary skills that will help you work quickly and effectively. In addition, Commschool will provide career support to the best graduate and offer an internship at one of the partner creative agencies.
Final Project – Reckless Content Campaign
At the end of the course, Nina also worked on the final project. The assignment involved planning and creating a content campaign for any Georgian brand. Nina chose Reckless. Working on the project turned out to be the most interesting part for her. Nina planned and arranged the photo session, location, processed photos for different social networks, and developed the campaign herself. Her goal was to deliver the brand’s main message to the audience, which she was inspired by from Reckless’s own social pages.
Nina advises future students not to stop developing even after finishing the course and to constantly look for inspiration:
“This field is developing daily, and it’s important to follow reports, blogs, and podcasts that will make you find many interesting discoveries. Most importantly, when managing social media, you must realize that every brand has its audience that you need to listen to.”
Nina is already using the knowledge gained within the program in her daily activities. In parallel, she constantly keeps an eye on the news around this field. In her opinion, it’s quite important to have awareness of the news happening around you.
