Artificial intelligence is gradually establishing an important role in people’s professional lives. In response to current trends, we have developed a new course at Commschool – AI in Practice, where people interested in artificial intelligence have the opportunity to learn how to implement AI in their daily lives. The course will be led by Shota Natenadze, about whom I will tell you in this blog.

Shota has several years of experience working as a data scientist and artificial intelligence (AI) engineer. He has worked at the leading research organization ISET PI in the region, as well as the innovative Georgian fintech startup Optio. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Data Scientist at EPAM, where he is creating an interactive chatbot system based on artificial intelligence for one of the largest American corporations.

For 3 years, Shota was also involved in academic activities. Specifically, he taught 4 different technical courses in probability theory, statistics, econometrics and machine learning at the International School of Economics ISET.

Over time, as his career developed, I had experience with more and more complex models and algorithms, which, on the one hand, aroused great interest in me, and on the other hand, made me aware of the huge potential they have to solve business or social problems. For me, artificial intelligence is one of the important tools that allows me to solve problems more intelligently and effectively.

AI and its future

AI is a set of models and algorithms based on deep learning architectures and systems. They effectively learn the patterns that exist in data, which may be invisible to us. AI models perform specific tasks and instructions with high accuracy.

As Shota notes, the AI field is developing very rapidly. Therefore, it is important to devote a significant part of the day to learning about the latest news, reading blogs and scientific articles. Online workshops and conferences are also quite useful.

The demand for AI skills is growing year by year, which indicates that more and more companies see the need and necessity to implement AI models to increase productivity and competitiveness.
